The SOS is holding an extraordinary meeting because of the report on municipal companies

The only point that the municipal councilors will discuss is the return for a new discussion of a decision on the report adopted on July 9 this year by Carlos Contrera, Sevdelina Petrova, Krasimir Galabov due to illegality, according to the Law on Local Self-Government and Local Administration.< br />
According to the chairman of the SOS, the report on municipal companies should be reconsidered due to a violation of procedural rules and the law.

On July 9, the SOS adopted a report on the announcement of public elections for members of boards of directors and supervisory boards of the municipal commercial companies "City Mobility Center", "Capital Electric Transport", "Capital Motor Transport", "Metropolitan", " "Heating Sofia" and "Sofinvest", submitted by municipal councilors Carlos Contrera from VMRO and independent municipal councilors Sevdelina Petrova and Krasimir Galabov.

The report was accepted, and a few days later, on July 13, the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, announced that he was returning the decision of the SOS to change the management boards of the six municipal companies, because it was not only unprincipled, but also illegal.

The mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, and the municipal councilors from the PP-DB-SS demanded the resignation of the regional governor of the city of Sofia, Stefan Arsov, because of the change of management in the municipal companies.

District Administration-Sofia completely canceled the return of the report on the change of management of 6 municipal companies. The regional administration of Sofia indicated in a written position that the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, did not issue an order for the re-voting of the report, as is the procedure, but sent a letter to the regional governor, which he canceled. And they add that the “Regional Administration of the Sofia Region categorically opposes and distinguishes itself from the attempts of certain politicians to use independent state institutions for political purposes and to interfere with the Regional Administration in election campaigns”.
