Today is the last ITN marathon meeting in search of support for a government. Trifonov's people will meet with GERB-SDS, BNT reported.
Yesterday it became clear that "We Continue the Change" - "Democratic Bulgaria" they will make a collective decision and only then will they say whether they will cast their votes for the implementation of the third mandate. Earlier today, the mandate holders from "There is such a people" received an emphatic "no" from "Revival". Thus, support for a cabinet remains at 66 votes for now.
The meeting of ITN with "Revival" proceeded promisingly with common views on almost all discussed sector policies, especially on the topic of referenda.
"As early as next week, if we have time and will, we will consider a change in the law on referendums," said Stanislav Balabanov, ITN.
"We cannot help but support such a bill. Even less, that both you and we have suffered," pointed out Kostadin Kostadinov, "Revival".
Disagreement came on the topic of foreign policy and the Eurozone.
"If there is a referendum on leaving NATO, we will vote against it," said Toshko Yordanov, ITN.
After two and a half hours and more reported points of contact from "Revival" however, came a resounding "no". The balance sheet of ITN followed.
"This government will be supported by DPS without Peevski. We already said during the campaign, and unlike many others who may change their views, that we cannot participate in a cabinet in which representatives of GERB and DPS participate. It has been proven that these formations protect the status quo, which turned Bulgaria into a colonial pseudo-state. The country is not in a crisis, but in a cleansing process", Kostadin Kostadinov said.
"Frank conversations are always helpful. We have differences that are insurmountable for them. That is their right. (Intersection) In the end, we still have 66 votes. At the moment, the responsibility falls on the shoulders of PP-DB and GERB", said Toshko Yordanov - ITN.
The PP-DB came to the meeting without any of their co-chairs.
"If I am not mistaken, throughout the campaign you said that you wanted a government without Peevski,", commented Toshko Yordanov.
"Indeed, our campaign was about not just governing without Peevski, but to dismantle the model of the conquered state,", Bozhidar Bojanov, PP-DB, answered him.
After an hour and a half, in which PP-DB asked questions about the priorities of their colleagues, they did not answer categorically to the question of whether they would give support.
"We discussed, as you saw, some of the sectors, the conversation was constructive, we have some overlap, in terms of details, maybe we have some divergence. We will introduce all this information and nuances to our collective bodies and we will inform you", said Bozhidar Bojanov.
"The best thing was that both they and we, when we have differences, a conversation and the result is achieved by making common decisions," said Toshko Yordanov.
