To be honest, I don't see grounds for optimism and after the elections. On the eve of the upcoming elections, we do not have a serious change in the political scene, which gives us hope that a new political force can come from somewhere with a program and bring the necessary and expected change.
This was commented by the political scientist Prof. Ognyan Minchev in an interview with the BNR.
"In the last 15 years, the possibilities for the emergence of authentic, non-manipulated political forces have been blocked – to come up with a platform and win over the citizens. This is impossible. Most of the emerging parties are technological projects connected to some oligarchic circle. While this is the reality, on the Bulgarian political scene we cannot expect an entity with motivation and resources to change this situation. Because from behind the scenes they are unwilling and refuse to provide the conditions to get out of the political crisis," explained Prof. Minchev.
„Political tension and crisis cannot be calmed by the nomination of the next caretaker prime minister – Gorica Grancharova. Grancharova is obviously a choice that reflects the current balance of power between major oligarchic factors in Bulgaria. This ratio has obviously changed in recent months, after Glavchev is no longer an acceptable candidate for prime minister, both for President Rumen Radev and for the political-oligarchic landscape,“, commented Ognyan Minchev on Grancharova's nomination for prime minister.
According to him, it will be difficult for Grancharova to reconcile interests in a government that will not only be for the two or three months until the elections, but also shortly after them, considering how difficult it is to create a regular government.< /p>
And added about the nomination:
"In practice, not only Rumen Radev, but also other main political figures are behind these unsuccessful constitutional amendments - party leaders, Borisov, Peevski, Petkov, BSP, etc. But Radev is a key figure because he amassed a large amount of power, much of it informal – power associated with operating the institutions and political decisions, due to the vacuum created by the lack of producing normal governance."
And he predicts that “eventually the political crisis in our country will be resolved, hopefully it will not be related to a catastrophe and the collapse of the political system, and scenarios that will be against the interests of Bulgarians and the Bulgarian national interest”.< /p>
According to him, the split of the DPS and the crisis in the BSP and the left sector “will lead to certain but situational changes in the internal balances of power factors, political-oligarchic factors, but not to prerequisites for new conditions for overcoming the political crisis&rdquo ;.
