The new green area in Montana surprised dozens of people in August. The municipality's explanatory campaign lasted nearly a month before the decision came into force and the control became effective. However, the residents of the city massively disapprove of the new rules.
That sums up BNT.
The proposed new parking area by the mayor Zlatko Zhivkov was not easily accepted and the decision of the municipal council in May was stopped by the former regional governor Ivaylo Antov with a long list of reasons, including the lack of economic justification.
"In this green zone there are sections, like the railway station for example, which is used only by guests from the Montana region. This costs us more than BGN 120,000, and I am not inclined in any way to let someone experiment on any topic," said Zlatko Zhivkov, mayor of Montana.
Control is already in effect. With a brace in place, you may have to wait up to an hour afterwards.
"Attention your vehicle has been clamped."
"Oooh, they you! So why?"
" BGN 36? BGN 36, are you crazy, man?"
"It's crazy work, well, are you connecting with the cerebrum, well, ora. BGN 36? This is my wages"
"You don't pay your fine, you don't leave. You sit here and wait like a spider.
Employees of the municipal Urban Mobility watch for violators and do not always manage to tell everyone about the new conditions. This creates tension and the police have to come.
"They were in the shadows and didn't let us know, and now that the camera and you are coming, they are starting to let us know, is that normal?"
"Their employer is the mayor!".
A week after the introduction of the green zone, the spaces in it are half occupied, and most people are looking for a way to park for free in the inter-block spaces.
"From Vasil Levski Street, after it became a paid zone, everyone crowded here in the space between the blocks and there is nowhere to stop.
"God forbid, the fire department must also enter, heptem there is no entry".
The new parking zones in Montana were implemented from the beginning of August.
