BGN 4.1 billion. will cost Bulgaria the 13-year agreement with the Turkish “Botash”. Every day, Bulgaria pays half a million dollars to reserve access to Turkish gas terminals for liquefied natural gas.
This is what he said in the show “This morning“ on BTV Martin Vladimirov from the Center for the Study of Democracy.
„In practice, we have not used these liquefied gas terminals on Turkish territory, with which the agreement was presented in Bulgaria. But it actually gives “Botash” to reserve capacity in the Bulgarian energy gas system.
And it is known that “Botash“ buys a lot of Russian gas and it's practically an agreement,
which enables Russia to re-enter European territory. All of us, the taxpayers, will pay for this," Vladimirov said.
Currently, according to Vladimirov, there is no investigation by the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office into this agreement, there is an investigation by the European Prosecutor's Office. Every day, Bulgaria pays half a million dollars to reserve access to Turkish gas terminals for liquefied natural gas.
