President Rumen Radev reminded that he has the last word. The nomination of Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva shows that the president has not given up on exercising his constitutional powers. Political scientist Slavi Vassilev said this on the air of BNT.
The lecturer in the department "Media and Communications" at the New Bulgarian University, Prof. Dr. Rosen Stoyanov believes: “My assessment is that this is a fixation on one person. And from people who created an attack situation that everyone can wash their hands of others and exert political pressure. It is important, in addition to actions, to be careful with words – Radev said that there were others who agreed, and on the day of the nomination he said that this was the only choice.“
„The political situation in Bulgaria after the fall of the regular government of the assembly and now has changed. Perhaps Mrs. Grancharova has taken into account the fact that Peevski's chair is shaking, as well as that the situation in the PP-DB electorate will change, Vassilev added.
Political analyst Georgi Harizanov is of the opinion that the political situation has completely changed and calmed down compared to what it was a year or two ago: “We hope it will not be so bad again. An official government behaves like an official government. The reason why Grancharova was tempted to become the second female prime minister is that the position seems tame and tempting.“
Professor Stoyanov stressed about the policemen's protest: “I respect the unions, but they have no right to political activity. There is no institution behind Glavchev and Grancharova.“
„Grancharova will hardly want to take the legacy of minister Kalin Stoyanov, who ignites passions. He is known to have attachments to some leaders in parliament – the one whose chair wobbles”, Vassilev also said.
According to Harizanov, it is possible for PP-DB and GERB to govern together again.
