The fire is burning above the village of Pastra, Rila municipality, near the "Kalin" dam.
The fire is at the foot of Mount Chala, where it burned a week ago. It covers 20 decares in a heavily rugged terrain.
Georgi Kabzimalski from "State Forestry Rila Monastery" explained that it was a very heavy fire with a large unevenness. According to him, in some places the slope of the terrain reaches 50 degrees, and the unevenness is about 200 meters. Burns both top and bottom.
Teams from the fire department and the "DGS Rila Monastery" are on the scene. The road to the "Kalin" dam is closed to traffic.
