The DSB came out with position on the occasion of the new office. The party comments that there are new bombs planted by Peevski in the "Glavchev 2" office, BNT reported.
"Mr. Glavchev announced the composition of the new-old, service cabinet, and President Radev accepted the list. Kalin Stoyanov will no longer be the Minister of Internal Affairs - expected after he became a burden. He who appoints him also fires him. This dismissal is not a response to the well-founded criticisms of the DSB and our coalition partners regarding the work of Mr. Stoyanov, but a demonstration of who really rules the acting prime minister.
A vivid proof of the fact that the political-economic tandem Borisov-Peevski continues to act in sync and at their own pleasure is the proposed Minister of Transport Mrs. Krasimira Stoyanova. As a long-serving employee of the Ministry, she is well known for the network she has created of appointments within the Ministry itself, in government agencies and related commercial companies. Publicly known are her close and long-standing ties with Peevski himself, the Domuschievi brothers, TIM and other oligarchs, as well as with the chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court, where her sister, Mrs. Kamelia Stoyanova, is a judge, the party states.
The DSB notes that they are following with increasing concern the actions of the previous ministers of transport in relation to the development of railway transport in Bulgaria. According to the party, the lack of a clear and long-term vision for the development of the sector and the piecemeal work turn the railways into a golden hen for the few, instead of an adequate, modern and fast network for the movement of people and goods.
"We appreciate Mrs. Stoyanova's proposal for the post not as a solution, but as part of the problem in the sector. BDZ's contract as a railway carrier expires at the end of this year. Currently, over BGN 200 million is the amount that is distributed as an annual subsidy and compensation for the lack of enough passengers. The failure to plan and invest in more service quality and accessibility, rather than accounting for losses and paying compensation, is evidence of the deliberate stifling of change in the railways. From the actions taken, or rather not taken in the Ministry of Transport so far, it is clear that the goal is to postpone the procedure for signing a new contract for a railway carrier by up to 2 years – through the regulated so-called “emergency measure”, it is also written in the position of the DSB.
The party stated that only the “market principle” should be leading in determining the carrier of passengers in the country.
"Then why not start now a new, transparent procedure with a wide range of stakeholders to offer the quality of service we all deserve? Who has prepared to once again eat at the state table, and let all of us Bulgarian citizens pay the bill? Does this delay give a “respite” of “our companies to be able to participate in the procedure? And is this another procedure with a clear winner? These are the questions to which Mrs. Stoyanova must answer, not with her words, but with her deeds. These are the questions to which we at DSB will seek answers, because our common money should improve our quality of life, and not be used for the enrichment of a few", the position reads.
