„The inclusion of Bulgarians in the constitution of North Macedonia is not up to me. If I were an absolute monarch, I would say I would change the constitution. The deputies are sent by the citizens who vote according to their conscience. I cannot suspend parliamentary democracy“.

This was stated by the president of the RSM, Gordana Silyanovska-Davkova, after her meeting with her Bulgarian colleague Rumen Radev.

In order to start negotiations for membership in the European Union, the RSM must change the Constitution. This is part of the negotiating framework that has been approved by all EU member states.

At the same time, the Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov "conducted a protocol meeting" with his colleague from RS Macedonia Zoran Lyutkov.

The two interlocutors gave a high assessment of the cooperation between Bulgaria and the RSM in the field of culture and arts. Lyutkov used the opportunity to invite Minister Nayden Todorov to the production “Nabucco” in the Sofia Opera and Ballet tonight, with the National Opera and Ballet of the Republic of North Macedonia as a guest.
