An analysis of what is happening in politics was done on Nova television, political communications teacher Prof. Rosen Stoyanov and political scientist Tsvetanka Andreeva.
„This is not the first time a party has split in Bulgaria. Over the years, we have witnessed the split in the SDS, which is present in two or three forms in the current parliament. The BSP split into so many formations that are currently uniting. "This is not the first time that the DPS splits, but for now Dogan looks weak and there is a strong figure against him," Andreeva said.
„DPS has never, in all the years of the so-called transition, been characterized by sharp movements and these statements in parliament and briefings instead of live interviews in a studio. There has always been a long-considered judgment of their honorable chairman, where things can be said in a longer-term perspective. In this line of thought, we expect, requests are given, there is movement in the space that they will give their final opinion and a solution for a way out of the situation,” said Prof. Stoyanov.
According to Andreeva, the split in the DPS will not lead to a decline in the electorate, and most likely it will also split. “One is the old, the more authentic, the more recognizable. The other is really new, what DPS offers as a real player in politics.
„For me, things will be quite simple. We trust the people we know, these are mostly those with whom we can communicate dynamically and on a daily basis. Who we get along with – those who speak our language. The electorate of the DPS, without speculating whether there is an ethnic element, implies the possibility of one part of the DPS at the moment to communicate more dynamically in their language,”, claims Prof. Stoyanov.
„If we go into Borisov's logic, he himself said some time ago: „What is happening works for me”. Pragmatism in politics is a good thing, but the point is, when others are extremely weak, you cannot be strong enough. You lose support, you lose ground and the ideas of being a visionary”, noted the political communications teacher.
