The faction in DPS around the honorary chairman Ahmed Dogan is preparing a new option for appearing in the elections . There they started collecting another subscription – to support the “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms“ coalition.
In the coalition “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms“ DPS party will not be present. Which parties it will consist of is kept secret for now.
The information was confirmed to Club Z by another person from Dogan's camp. Otherwise, it expired first on the site close to Peevski rodopi24.blogspot.com.
The submission of at least 2,500 signatures of supporters to the CEC is one of the conditions for running in parliamentary elections.
The reason is the blockage at the moment in the Central Election Commission (CEC) for the parliamentary vote on October 27. The two warring factions in the DPS – around Dogan and around Delyan Peevski, neutralize each other and fail to get registration for the elections.
„We do it just in case”, a person from Dogan's camp commented to Club Z. “The very situation of having two (co-)presidents who act together and separately creates problems.“
After being suspended by the CEC, Dogan's camp yesterday surprisingly requested registration only as a DPS party, presenting a second signature from supporters. Immediately after that, a person authorized by Peevski requested the withdrawal of the submitted documents. The CEC's decision on this case is awaited. Due to the possibility of a negative outcome, Ahmed Dogan's people are preparing a third signing – to support the “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms“.
We recall that the camp around the honorary chairman initially tried to register a coalition of three parties – DPS, SBOR and “Agricultural People's Union”. It should be called “DEMOCRACY, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS– DPS“.
However, the faction around Peevski proposed another coalition - “Movement for Rights and Freedoms– A new beginning“. Three parties also entered it – DPS, “Bulgarian voice“ and “The New Leaders“.
