The sooner the staffing of the European Commission is completed, so much the better for everyone, because one can see an unnecessary drama – setting goals that are not achievable.
This is what MEP Ilhan Kyuchuk said on the air of Euronews Bulgaria.
In his words, the difficulties with the election of EU commissioners demotivates European citizens and imposes the feeling that Brussels is dictating.
Brussels says who to be, not that nation states can broadcast, ie. their citizens and legitimately elected governments, and Ursula von der Leyen says who the favorite commissioner is. This should not happen because it undermines the foundations of the European Union.
According to Kyuchuk, it is important that the legislation on which the new European Commission will work is not on the assembly line. “Let us not again become a factory for legislation without the need for it. What will be changed must be evaluated, the MEP also commented.
