The scandal is growing: Skopje summons the Bulgarian ambassador because of the missing flags

In connection with the announcement of the President of North Macedonia Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, the ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria Zhelyazko Radukov will be summoned tomorrow (September 16) for a conversation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reports MKD, citing diplomatic sources.

Yesterday (September 14), President Siljanovska-Davkova's office announced that they will demand an explanation from the Bulgarian side regarding the non-display of the Macedonian flag during the meeting with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.

"We want to believe that this is a protocol oversight and not a deliberate procedure and deviation from what was agreed upon,", the statement begins.

Five days ago, President Siljanovska-Davkova accepted the letters of credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria Zhelyazko Radukov.

Ambassador Radukov is expected to return to Skopje tomorrow after participating in the meetings in Sofia.
