DANS, together with the National Revenue Agency, the Ministry of the Interior and the “Customs“ have carried out an inspection following the information in Hungarian media that a company registered in Sofia and owned by a Norwegian sold to the group “Hezbollah” the exploding pagers.
The inspection established beyond dispute that Bulgaria was not importing, exporting or producing communication devices corresponding to those blown up on September 17, 2024 in Lebanon and Syria, according to DANS.
From there they also report that the company referred to in the media publications and its owner did not carry out transactions, in relation to which Bulgaria has jurisdiction, with the subject of purchase and sale of goods.
It is clear from the information that the company did not carry out financial operations falling within the scope of the Law on Measures against the Financing of Terrorism, nor did it maintain commercial relationships with individuals and legal entities subject to restrictive measures under the Security Council's sanctions regimes of the UN and the Council of the EU.
