"Bulgaria is a predictable partner. We support the enlargement and the European perspective of the Western Balkans. However, I do not think that the tone they are using in the Republic of Macedonia will help them become a member of the EU. We have made enough compromises with our national identity. They just have to comply with the requirements to join the Union". This was stated by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, quoted by Nova TV.
On the subject of the voting machines, the Prime Minister explained that the management of the warehouse wants to improve the conditions for storing the machines, but these are commercial relations between the contractors and the CEC. "There is upward pressure on prices. I hope it doesn't come to a problem, because it will become a big scandal," he revealed.
Glavchev also commented on the "Bulgarian connection" on the case with the pagers that exploded in Lebanon. "DANS has already said that it has not established any presence of goods or their production in Bulgaria. There were only cash flows that went through invoices. The basis for transfer is services, not goods. Bulgaria has nothing to do with the production and delivery of the pagers. The company is a mailbox for cash flows. I don't see the need to convene the Security Council at the IC", he pointed out.
