At 10:30 a.m. in the Tsarevets fortress with a military ritual, the Bulgarian flag will be raised, after which wreaths and flowers will be presented to the Pyramid of Independence, located at the foot of the Patriarchate - museum. At 11:30 a.m., a large festive procession will pass from the square in front of Tsarevets to the center of Veliko Tarnovo, and at 12:30 p.m. The military bands from the International Festival of Military Brass Bands will present their performance in front of the Central Post Office.
In the afternoon, there will be concerts on the open stage, and at 6:00 p.m., the big dance will take place. The culmination of the festive program on September 22 is from 7:30 p.m. on the "Tsar Asen I" square, where the representative block of the "Vasil Levski" National Military University will perform drills. After that, the Ceremonial Dawn Inspection will also begin. At 20:15 is the screening of the audio-visual show "Tsarevgrad Tarnov" sound and light“, which will end with fireworks.
