Nikolay Kostov: There are lobbyist interests for the installation of medicine vending machines - 1

„Medicine vending machines are not safe. One of the risks is that a child who has a specific disease, by buying aspirin, may end up dying.

This was stated by the chairman of the Association of Pharmacy Owners Nikolay Kostov to NOVA.

He explained that there are lobbying interests for the placement of such machines and this is the third attempt to push them through.

The medicine vending machines themselves will contain about 20 medicines. “The probability of finding the drug you need among these 20 drugs is very small”, said Kostov.

„The best solution is to have a full-fledged pharmacy. It is difficult in small settlements. A pharmacy needs 2135 users on average. "Several villages that are nearby can shop at one pharmacy," explained the chairman of the Association of Pharmacy Owners.

He is adamant that people should not buy drugs through sites. If a person comes across such a site, he should look for registration.
