Assoc. Milen Lyubenov: It is possible that there will be a split in PP-DB after the elections - 1

Expectations are for a very low voter turnout. My concern is that we will see less than 2 million voters. What we see as message and political entities are the parties that failed to form a government in the 50th parliament. This was stated by the political scientist Assoc. Milen Ljubenov in the program "The Live Day" on Nova News.

What they could do – to update their lists, he thinks. "The messages are the same. We do not see an update in the lists in any party. Many said they would expand civilian quotas to attract more support. We see nothing of the sort. The reason is that the mandates of each party are decreasing more and more. We can't expect any other result after the same players offer the same messages," he added.

When it comes to elections, the possible options for coalitions are relatively clear. Before the elections, the parties must look for a way to find a sustainable coalition formula. To show attempts and guidelines of what we can expect after the elections, the political scientist believes.

And from the sociological surveys we see an electoral split in the DPS. This will be one of the intrigues of the campaign, Lyubenov added. According to him, the future of DPS will depend on the outcome of the upcoming elections.

With PP-DB, a certain imbalance is visible in the lists with many more representatives of "We continue the change". Depending on the election results, it is possible to see a split in this coalition. BSP starts with a low starting score. These expectations that left unification will lead to an upsurge – will not take place in this election. BSP will get a lower result than in the last elections, pointed out Assoc. Lyubenov.

Assoc. Lyubenov predicts a highly fragmented parliament with 8 or 9 parties. "The possibility of a sustainable majority will require 4 or more players," he added.
