The arrest of the independent MP Jeyhan Ibryamov was reported during the meeting of the Central Election Commission. It became clear from it that the Commission received a letter from the Acting Prosecutor General.
In the explanation to the members of the CEC, Borislav Sarafov informed them that Ibryamov was detained at the time of a serious crime. And in this case, parliamentary immunity does not protect him. By the end of the day, the CEC members are expected to make a decision on the case.
We remind you that earlier the lawyer of Ceyhan Ibryamov confirmed that the deputy was detained for 24 hours on Wednesday evening, after which he was taken to the investigative detention. Yordan Kirov also said that the arrest was due to an investigation into vote buying.
