Given the frequent elections, into which we enter, the parties are not only tired, but also lacking in ideology. They rely on a solid electorate. They see that the activity is decreasing more and more. To a large extent, the big players are fine with it. No changes, no campaign.
This was stated by political analyst Svetlin Tanchev in the show "The Day ON AIR".
In this situation, even if the activity is greater, there will not be much difference in the arrangement, he believes.
Former MEP Petar Vitanov pointed out three main reasons for the low voter turnout - lack of new ideas, lack of new people and a decrease in financial resources.
"8 Campaigns is a resource. When there are no new people, serious political players, no new ideas - we cannot expect a high voter turnout. The bought vote is increasingly important. The third group of people who vote are the radicals. That's why we see all kinds of exotics in the parliament," Vitanov explained to Bulgaria ON AIR.
"The market will make us go to some government. We are not absorbing the plan, our economy is shrinking. On January 1, the minimum wage must increase. The accounts show that only interest in our current state, without having to plug holes, will be around BGN 3 billion by 2027. If we continue in this cycle of elections, I don't see where the funds will come from," Tanchev analyzed. .
If there is a government, it will not be long-lasting, Vitanov believes.
"There are two options. One is an anti Peevski basis, it includes GERD, "We continue the change" and at least one or two more parties. Then the formation of Mr. Peevski, which will most likely enter the parliament, will do everything possible to be part of the ruling majority. The second is a Euro-Atlantic majority," predicted the former MEP.
Tanchev reminded that in the past year 2/3 of the countries in the world held elections. According to him, our politicians will be pressured by external factors.
" GERB-SDS have hit some bottom, below which they could hardly fall. Even if they fall below these votes, it will be proportionally equal. They have many mayors, structures," the analyst emphasized.
Tanchev is of the opinion that Boyko Borisov has no great chance of being prime minister again.
"People feel a sense of hopelessness. A sharp change in their political commitment may come with new faces. The president - without a doubt. If it's not him, it will be someone else. The system needs adrenaline. The big challenge is what will happen in the BSP and in general with the left in Bulgaria", Vitanov summarized.
