Prof. Milen Ivanov: Iran does not want a war with Israel - 1

"The conflict that in currently developing in the Middle East, it has ancient roots. There is no risk of it becoming more widespread than it is now. War is economics first and foremost, and field action second. Fighting a war on multiple fronts for one country is draining on the economy. The blow is more about saving face, reputation. Israel, despite all the power it possesses, cannot deal with a non-state because the Gaza Strip is not a state, but a group that has been declared a terrorist group.

This was stated by security expert Associate Professor Milen Ivanov in "Day ON AIR".

In his words, if Israel strikes Iran's nuclear program, reciprocally its nuclear facilities become a legitimate military target.

"The State of Israel hides a large part of its victims. Nothing changed except that what we used to call the Gaza Strip became a desert. Those who died and left as refugees are a large part of the backbone of the Israeli economy. Iran has no desire to go to war with Israel right now. "Hamas" is the successor of the "Muslim Brotherhood", and they were created in 1928. What they did to "Hamas" led to their almost complete destruction, but you cannot destroy an organization that feeds on revenge, added Assoc. Ivanov for Bulgaria ON AIR.

According to him, Syria is currently also entering an interesting phase of internal struggles, and interesting points will appear there.

"The main player in the Middle East is Britain. Another active participant is France. These are the main players. Both Russia and China have an interest in escalating these events. For now, there will be a freeze on this conflict at its current level. Russia's role in Syria is large, but many independent players are beginning to emerge. They would lead to destabilization of the entire region," commented the guest.

In Europe we have problems that are starting to tear Schengen apart, Assoc. Ivanov is emphatic.

"The only common sense currently remains in the UN. Any other mechanism leads to a worse result. Worst of all, there will be a new wave of refugees. We must take urgent action. The new emergency measures - a concrete fence along the border and border police that will be at the border 24 hours a day," the expert explained.
