The growth of scooter accidents in Bulgaria has more than doubled. This was announced by the Chief Inspector in the “Traffic Police” Lachezar Bliznakov in the studio of “Wake up”, quoted by dariknews.bg.
„In the summer months alone, 277 accidents occurred involving such vehicles. "There are seven dead," he explained.
“Meanwhile, Bulgaria once again became the record holder for accidents in the EU. These are the results of extensive analyses. By October 12, there were 365 people who died on the road, last year for this period there were 424, Bliznakov also said.
According to him, accidents with pedestrians predominate in Sofia.
“Speeds over 200 km/h are common. It is not rare to catch drivers with blood alcohol levels over 2 per 1,000 parts per million, the inspector also said.
