An explosion that occurred at a gas station in the Russian city of Grozny killed four people, the Ministry of emergency situations in his Telegram channel, reported RIA Novosti.
Among the dead are two children.
“In Grozny, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations put out a fire at a gas station on "Mohammed Ali" Boulevard, a gas tank exploded, the publication says.
35 rescuers and seven units of equipment work at the site.
The fire has been extinguished, and the structures are being watered and dismantled.
Five people also received minor burns and injuries and were treated at the scene.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, took the situation under personal control. He promised that all the culprits would be brought to justice. Kadyrov expressed his condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.
A criminal case has been opened.
