A fire destroyed part of the school in the Ruse village of Chervena Voda. The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m., setting fire to the roof of the building. Five teams of the fire services from Ruse joined the extinguishing to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring properties. No one was injured, and the reasons for its occurrence are yet to be clarified. The school in Chervena Voda was closed in 2008 and the building was locked and secured to prevent demolition, locals said. There were ideas for its restoration.
„The school is locked, not leased. For a year now, I have repeatedly sent signals that it should be somehow restored,” commented the mayor of the village, Vladimir Dimitrov.
