Prof. Mihail Konstantinov: One deputy will be elected with about 7,500 votes - 1

The forecasts for the upcoming early parliamentary vote are that voter turnout will reach its lowest point so far. Is this expected to give more weight to the bought vote? The theme in the studio of “Your Day” Mathematician Prof. Mihail Konstantinov and security expert from the Center for the Study of Democracy Mariyan Sabev commented on NOVA NEWS.
The shares of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are definitely stronger, Sabev believes. However, according to his words, the contingent, which traditionally engages in illegal activities regarding the bought vote, is not sanctioned and it continues to operate in the next elections.
Prof. Konstantinov revealed how the rates for buying votes are moving this fall. According to his information, the highest is BGN 200 for a voter and BGN 200 for a dealer. The lowest were BGN 50 for the tax collector and BGN 50 for the voter. The Center for the Study of Democracy observes that almost all parties benefit from the market for votes.

Mathematician Prof. Konstantinov's calculations show that about 1.8 million votes will form the composition of the future parliament. The figures indicate that a member of parliament will be elected with about 7,500 votes. “This number is absolutely unattainable for an independent candidate”, noted the mathematician. According to him, the bought vote will produce a parliamentary group of 10-12 people.
