The accused of the murder of a woman in the capital's “Mladost” made a confession. He remains in custody with the most serious measure.
This was reported by bTV.
The victim's body was found the day after the election. The 43-year-old perpetrator hit her on the head with his fists and scattered her belongings.
The accused told the police upon his arrest that the motive for the serious crime was his desire to go back to prison.
The man was serving a 19-year sentence for murder and had been free for two months when he decided to commit a serious crime again.
Before the court panel, the prosecutor stated that within the framework of the investigation, sufficient evidence was collected, witnesses were questioned, searches were conducted and an investigative experiment was carried out. It was established that the murder was committed with fist blows.
The accused then stole a gold cross and an icon from the victim, which were found in his residence. During the investigative experiment, he showed where he had thrown away the woman's other belongings.
„An investigative experiment was made with regard to the things that were taken from the woman, the accused himself indicated where they were. He stated that he knows what he has done and wants to stay in prison, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office specified.
His lawyer has asked for a lighter measure.
„I do not agree with what the lawyer said, I know what I did and I want to stay inside,” said the person accused of murder in court.
The murder took place on October 28 shortly after midnight. The woman's body was dragged to the lawns near Block 43, where it was first spotted by citizens.
