The parties are not sincere in their desire to cancel the early parliamentary elections, as they are not possible to implement. A whole new Electoral Code needs to be written as the current one is patchwork. This was stated before "The Day Begins" on BNT, the constitutionalist Prof. Plamen Kirov.
He added that there is a way out of the current situation – attacking the CC does not stop the decision of the CEC, which has announced the elected representatives. After the decision of the Constitutional Court, we may see a parliament with a completely new composition, according to Prof. Kirov.
According to him, of all the political declarations and threats, the only realistic one is the request of “There is such a people” to partially attack the election result.
According to him, it is possible to file various appeals to the Constitutional Court for the annulment of the elections. Of all of them, at least 48 people's representatives can appeal to the Constitutional Court and the other entity that can appeal to the court is President Rumen Radev, pointed out Prof. Plamen Kirov.
He called on the parties to ask decent lawyers what they can do and what they can do, and not try to make pre-election smokescreens. Prof. Kirov believes that the newly elected people's representatives are not interested in partially attacking the election result before the Constitutional Court. If the CC decides that really “Majesty” should pass the 4% barrier to enter the National Assembly, ten people's representatives will have to be taken from the parties that are now entering the parliament, pointed out Prof. Plamen Kirov.
