The lawyer of Ivaylo Tsvetkov-Noyzi Stefan Karayotov asked the Sofia City Court to stop the case for confiscation of his car pending the ruling of the Constitutional Court on the case. In 2023, Noisey was caught driving after consuming alcohol. A swab test showed a sample of 2.12 per mille and a blood test showed the presence of 2.52 per mille. He was subsequently released on bail of BGN 15,000. His suspended sentence was reached after an agreement with the prosecutor's office, whereby the journalist was sentenced to a 10-month suspended sentence with a 3-year probationary period.
The court yesterday postponed the case until January 8, 2025, because Karayotov did not appear at the hearing yesterday. In a letter to the court, he claimed that the reason was official commitments in Burgas. Due to lack of evidence, the lawyer was fined BGN 1,000. Noisy also did not attend the SGS meeting.
