Political party "Vazrazhdane" sent two drafts of a decision to all parties represented in the parliament, with the exception of GERB, which has already expressed disagreement with the creation of a sanitary cordon around Delyan Peevski.
The projects are in response to a declaration by the coalition "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) to create a sanitary cordon around the People's Representative Delyan Peevski.
From "Revival" express doubts about the sincerity of this proposal, recalling the recent past. "Until a few months ago, the PP-DB coalition ruled together with Peevski and often visited his office for a conversation," the party states. In support of these claims, the words of Peevski himself are quoted from his briefing in the National Assembly: "they drank fatty Turkish coffee in my lap".
Essence of projects
The first draft envisages holding a referendum to preserve the Bulgarian lev with a specific question: "Do you agree that the Bulgarian lev should be the only official currency in Bulgaria until 2043?"
The second project focuses on the future of the "Maritsa-East" complex. It foresees the obligation of the Council of Ministers to:
Suspended the actions for the early termination of operation of the coal capacities
Negotiate international agreements for their exploitation
Initiates negotiations to revise the carbon quota system
Develop a strategy for sustainable development of the complex
Study the possibilities for state acquisition of majority shares in TPP "Contour Global Maritsa-East 3" and TPP "E&S Maritsa-Iztok I"
