BGN 100 will be given to all those who receive pensions up to the poverty line - BGN 526, he specified. "The pension and its supplements should not exceed this amount. That's about 340,000 people. The amount itself will be received on December 19. There is no criterion for not receiving other incomes, annuities, rents, etc.," Ivanov explained.
"In the budget of the state social security, it is between 8 and 9% to be the update of pensions in July," he also said.
"I support the increase in the maximum social security income because the minimum wage was raised by nearly 15%. The average insurance income equals nearly 13.3. It is normal for the maximum insurance income to be increased by about 10 percent," added the Minister of Social Affairs.
Today the Supervisory Board of the Insurance Institute is discussing the draft budget for next year.
According to the set parameters - the minimum pension should become BGN 631 from July 1 next year. It is planned that the maximum insurance income will increase by BGN 380 and reach BGN 4,130.
