The Speaker of the National Assembly Nataliya Kiselova is convening an extraordinary session from 13:00 today of the parliament, reported the press center of the legislative institution, quoted by BTA.
There is one item on the agenda - a draft decision for the election of a Temporary Commission for the development of a draft Rulebook for the organization and activities of the National Assembly.
Last Friday, Natalia Kiselova was elected Speaker of the 51st National Assembly on the 11th attempt. Deputy Speakers of the Parliament were announced and parliamentary groups were constituted. The deputies decided to work temporarily according to the rules of the previous National Assembly until the adoption of a new one.
Yesterday, the Speaker of the Parliament Nataliya Kiselova commented that several important things are coming – of the Council of Presidents to specify what the next steps of the legislative institution will be, apart from possible changes in the rules, because there is a desire to amend some provisions, and to make efforts to constitute the parliamentary committees. She stated that her efforts will be to have a budget law passed by December 31st, with the possibility of having special meetings or working between Christmas and New Year.
Meanwhile, President Rumen Radev begins consultations with the parliamentary groups in the 51st National Assembly. The head of state will receive from 9:30 a.m. today representatives of GERB-SDS, and from 11:30 a.m. - representatives of “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria”, announced the press office of the president.
