Negotiations for a first-term government continue, NOVA reported.
On Wednesday, GERB leader Boyko Borisov said that he was optimistic about the course of the talks, but did not want to give details on which issues there is consensus, as well as whether he will be the proposal for prime minister.
However, the State Duma revealed that the issue on which there is still no agreement is the amendments to the law on the judiciary. The ITN has not yet joined the talks, and Borisov assured that this will happen at a later stage.
The GERB leader's preliminary request is for the talks to continue until December 20.
However, it is possible that the time for dialogue has been extended, after President Rumen Radev explained that he expects the parties to give a signal by the New Year whether they can cooperate. Thus, most likely, the folder with the first mandate will be handed over in early 2025.
