For the second time, the prosecutor's office opposed the removal of Delyan Peevski and seven other people from the faction around him from the governing bodies of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and from the party itself, reports the Bulgarian National Radio.
This happened during the session of the Sofia City Court, from which the people around Dzhevdet Chakarov want to enter in the Register of Political Parties the decisions of the session of the Central Council of the Movement from last October.
According to prosecutor Radoslav Stoev, there was no quorum at the session, and Peevski and the other excluded members were not duly notified of its convening:
"In judicial practice, proper notification is in writing with a return receipt. At the moment, there are no such documents in the case that would certify his proper notification. For me, this is a procedural problem for the simple reason that they were not notified and did not attend the meeting. There is no evidence in the case that they were notified that they were excluded. The court must assess whether it was enough that the media said that the notification of exclusion was on the DPS website. They should have been duly notified".
The court's decision will be clear within two weeks.
