Angel Iliev, who was the only candidate, withdrew his nomination for the position, and his reasons are still unknown. The Prosecutorial College will also discuss who to appoint as the interim head of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, to head the prosecutor's office until a new incumbent is elected.
