The majority rejected the proposal of "Vazrazhdane" to hear the Minister of the Interior Daniel Mitov about the case in Haskovo. Her body was found on April 30 in an uninhabited property in the city, and her 17-year-old classmate with the initials I.K. was accused of her murder.
However, those close to the girl and people from the city are also asking questions about the police's work in the case.
The reason for this is a statement by the chief of police in Haskovo, Ivan Rasokov, who said at a briefing on April 28 - two days after the report of the girl's disappearance - that she “is most likely hiding” from his family and that there is no evidence that he was kidnapped.
After the girl was found dead, Rasokov denied that the police were inactive and said that all versions of his disappearance were being worked out.
However, the Minister of Internal Affairs Daniel Mitov demanded the resignation of Ivan Rasokov.
