Bulgaria has managed to invest 2.6 billion leva from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and we have the ambition to double the amount by the end of the year. This was said by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev.
He is visiting the University Hospital “St. Catherine“ in connection with the implementation of a project under the Recovery and Resilience Plan for the construction of an air ambulance system in Bulgaria.
"This project started at a value of just over 50 million euros, but since this is one of the projects that are moving, its value was increased by 24 million euros. The most important thing today is that Bulgaria has managed to invest 2.6 billion leva leva from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and this money is being converted into results," Donchev also said.
"The deadline is August 31, 2026. Despite the tragic state in which we have found things, we have the ambition to pay off all the funds and invest in the Bulgarian economy and Bulgarian society," he also said.
The National Recovery and Resilience Plan has hundreds of projects affecting all sectors of public and economic life - from business support projects to energy efficiency measures in residential buildings, through rail transport, targeted support for science, and most of all measures related to decarbonization and the green transition, Donchev pointed out.
