The Vice President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) Todor Kapitanov will be released and no charges will be brought against him, the CITUB said at a press conference today, quoted by Dariknews.bg.

The President of the Confederation Plamen Dimitrov described the actions of the police during today's protest of workers and employees in the state forestry and hunting farms of the "Trakia" as "unprovoked violence".
"I hope that the protest will end peacefully",
emphasized Dimitrov.

We recall that at 10:00 today the demonstrators were supposed to completely block traffic in both lanes of the highway. However, the police did not allow them, explaining that the owner of the road - RIA, had not notified the police that there would be a blockade of the highway.

"(Kapitanov) was removed from the protest for not disobeying a police order not to block the highway," Dimitrov announced.

The president of the confederation reported that the CITUB had repeatedly publicly notified its intentions to block the highway, but emphasized that the act itself was prohibited.
