"Everyone in Bulgaria has become poorer", Assen Vassilev, Chairman of "We Continue the Change", told the media at a briefing in the National Assembly building, a reporter for NOVINI.BG reported.
"Inflation is currently 2.5 times higher than the one we left in 2024," said Vassilev and explained that for the first time in 4 years Bulgarians have begun to become poorer".
Then it was 2%, and now it is 4.5% with a trend towards 5. The average salary in 2024 grew by 15%, currently the growth is 9% and by the end of the year it will most likely be around 7%, mainly concentrated in the security structures. In all other sectors there is no growth or it is in the order of 1, 2 or 3%", he specified.
"The policy of lean pizza has started to work again", said Asen Vassilev.
"All Bulgarian citizens have started to become poorer as a result of this government, which, as we understood, is of Who. Who takes care of the people and they become poorer. The government has frozen all incomes, except for those working in the security structures and has begun to sharply raise all administrative prices. The price of electricity has increased twice in 6 months, with the increase in these 6 months alone being more than in the previous 3 years taken together; the price of water has increased by over 20% in some places; the price of all electrical appliances increased by between 40 and 200 leva due to the increased fees; vignettes increased by 10% and toll fees by 20%; student fees also increased by 20%, although they tried to disguise it as a reduction. All these increases were included in the prices of absolutely all goods and services that we buy," he added.
Regarding Ivan Vassilev's desire to leave the post of deputy mayor of Sofia, Vassilev explained that this is a question for the mayor of Sofia.
