President Rumen Radev will meet today with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier as part of his two-day visit to the federal republic, BTA reported.
The "one-on-one" meeting will be held at the "Bellevue" Palace in Berlin.
The two heads of state spoke at the Berlin presidential residence in May 2022, after Steinmeier paid an official visit to Bulgaria in April 2019 at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart.
The prospects for economic cooperation between the two countries are expected to be among the topics of today's meeting.
Yesterday, Rumen Radev participated in the opening of a high-tech ammunition plant of the German arms concern "Rheinmetall" in the province of Lower Saxony. The German company plans to invest together with the Bulgarian government in two plants in Bulgaria - one for shells and one for gunpowder, with an expected investment of over 1 billion euros.
