„Our idea is to increase the period in which we have water. It won't be possible to have 24 hours of water all of a sudden, but with small steps I hope things will happen faster. We lack about 200-250 liters per second, which can provide 24-hour water supply. Now there is water on weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m. and in the evening from 7 to 10 p.m. Things are happening in small steps, it won't happen with a magic wand. I hope for patience“, said Pleven Regional Governor Martin Machev in the program “This Saturday“.
According to him, the problems are both with the water supply and the infrastructure network in the city, which is about to be replaced.
“This will happen in stages, not all the streets in the city will be dug up at once, but the water supply network will be replaced in stages“, said Machev.
The Pleven Regional Governor said that new drilling and replacement of pipes are coming.
“One of the decisions we made is that the well near the village of Yasen will be included in the water supply network. Its flow rate is 10 liters per second. The water samples came out, the water is suitable for drinking and domestic needs. New drillings are coming, for example, the one in Kozhuharska česka is already ready and sampling should be done next week. We will start a new drilling near the village of Brestovets. Surely the liters we expect will not be as mind-boggling as those mentioned in the public space“, he explained.
