A new air separation plant will be built at the Аurubіѕ plant in Bulgaria. It will be realized in partnership with Aіr Lіquіdе. The German company invested nearly EUR 100 million in this and 4 other similar installations in Germany.
In Bulgaria, the new facility will replace older similar installations. The innovation will provide a greater amount of oxygen and nitrogen for the needs of the German production facility in Chelopech. The plant will also produce argon. It will be exported to the company's industrial customers in a number of European countries.
Plans are for the plant to be put into operation in 2027. Calculations are made so that it consumes 7% less electricity than the plant it will replace.
