The housing crisis in Europe is growing and this is the main reason that one in four Europeans is considering the possibility of emigrating migrates to a country other than his home country. This is according to a survey of nearly 20,000 Europeans conducted by the consulting company RE/MAX.
A high percentage of respondents indicate that they have “tightened their belts” in order to be able to afford the purchase of a home with a mortgage loan. To date, interest rates on this type of credit have reached 4.5%.
The Irish are the nation that best outlines the dangerous trend emerging in the market. Over 30% of them intend to move to another country, due to the high rate of inaccessibility to the housing market.
Nearly 20% of respondents say they are struggling with housing affordability, limiting other expenses.
