The case about the accident in which Ani and Yavor died will be held today under an abbreviated procedure, BNT reported .
This will lead to a reduction by one third of the sentence that will be passed by the Sofia City Court, as well as speed up the process.
At the previous hearing in the case, the defendant Adrian Antonov made a confession and requested that the trial be conducted according to the abbreviated investigation. The accident happened on the capital's “Slivnitsa“ Blvd. on May 8 last year.
According to the prosecutor's office, Antonov violated the traffic rules. He was traveling at a speed of 106 km/h with a maximum speed limit of 50 km/h. Relatives of children killed in accidents are preparing a protest, demanding a fair sentence.
