The drugged mayor of the village of Malorad in Vratsa was arrested. The information was confirmed by the police, reported bTV, quoted by FOCUS.
The arrest took place this evening. A police station tried to stop Mayor Ivo Ivanov in his car, but he did not obey.
A chase has begun. The uniformed officers managed to stop the mayor's jeep in the area of the village.
The drug test was positive, the police spokesman said. Ivanov has been detained.
All his properties are being searched for drugs and weapons.
He is the second-term mayor of Malorad. The first time he won with the support of GERB, now – of DPS. And two weeks ago, extraordinary elections for municipal councilors were held in the village, after the court counted the votes in the entire Municipality of Borovan. They were won by "Revival”.
