A dog assistant was shot in the yard of the house where he lives in Ravno Pole. The owner of the Labrador, Rojen, suffers from diabetes, and his role was to be by her side to protect her from life-threatening conditions when her blood sugar is not normal.
"On the morning of September 3, the person I live with let the dog out in the yard and at 10 o'clock he called me that Rozhen was not in the yard, but then he saw him shot," said the owner of the deceased pet, Viktoria Alexandrova. "I didn't have the strength to work. He was very precious to me. I have a very severe form of diabetes, and Rozhen was trained to recognize hypoglycemic crises. He is one of the dogs that save lives," she said.
According to her, the training is quite difficult and takes about 2 years. Rojen was shot with an air rifle, which prevented the discovery of the perpetrator, but because of the location of the murder, the owners assume that the perpetrator was someone in the neighborhood.
In another case, at the other end of the village, a yard cat was shot in the neck. The landlady told NOVA that they only had suspicions about who the culprit was, but no evidence.
„Ravno Pole is a fairly rapidly developing village. These are cases that terribly puzzled me. The fact that they suddenly happen. There is also a third case - a recording from security cameras shows how a dog was shot from a car. It is currently being investigated by the police," said the mayor of the village.
