Employees of the “Cybercrime” – GDBOP have conducted specialized police operations to counter the online sexual exploitation of children throughout the country. The actions were carried out in the last two months, under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
9 people, aged between 35 - 48 years, were detained.
In the course of the investigation, it was established that using false identities, two made targeted online contacts with teenagers, presenting themselves as close to their age. Gaining the sympathy and trust of the children in this way, skillfully provoking their narcissism and curiosity, the men manipulated their victims into participating in pornographic performances. Subsequently, the children were blackmailed and threatened to create pornographic materials with their participation.
Three others, who used the resources of an online application for membership in closed groups with limited access and were added to the groups only after “recommendation” and only for “colleagues of interest”. In them, materials containing sexual perversions were shared with minors, mostly boys.
Four of the detainees used the resources of peer-to-peer networks - to download files containing sexual abuse of children with the aim of subsequently exchanging them with sexual abusers from all over the world.
Many computer systems, portable laptops, external media, flash drives, video cameras, etc. were seized from the homes of the detainees. carriers of information containing a huge amount of material containing sexual abuse of children of both sexes.
