A new court hearing on the investigation into a loan granted by the Bulgarian Development Bank in the amount of BGN 148.5 million will be held today, NOVA reported.
Businessman Rumen Gaitanski, nicknamed “Wolf”, again appealed his detention, insisting on a lighter measure of remand. He is charged as an instigator.
At the last session of the Appellate Court, Gaitanski described the accusations against him as “a fake job”. The businessman was detained after he voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement in mid-August. In the case, the former executive director of BBR Stoyan Mavrodiev and Ivan Georgiev, a representative of the company that received the loan, are also accused.
