In Brazil, the famous politician and former mayor of Rio de Janeiro's César Maia was awarded an online town hall meeting from the toilet, writes the Daily Mail.

The incident happened on Wednesday, June 5. Maya, 78, was due to participate in a city council discussion on cultural heritage issues via video link. When all participants in the meeting joined, the elderly man tilted the laptop camera and it became clear that he was in the toilet.

The former mayor's trousers and his bare ankles were caught in the shot. Pablo Mello, who was chairing the meeting, could barely contain his laughter as he tried to read the agenda. “Councillor Maya, please turn off the camera”, he finally begged.

At that moment, the elderly man realized that the other council members could see him and turned off the camera.
Cesar Maya became mayor of Rio de Janeiro three times - in 1992, 2000 and 2004. In total, he held this post for 12 years - more than any other mayor.
