Jennifer Lopez spoke for the first time about her separation from her husband Ben Affleck, dariknews.bg reported.
The singer opened up to comedian Nicky Glazer for Interview Magazine, where JLo admitted that “her whole world blew up” following the release of her musical film “This Is Me... Now: A Love Story”, which has brought her love story with Ben to center stage.
Although Jennifer didn't name Ben directly, she hinted at what caused her marriage to fall apart. "You have to be complete as a person if you want to have something that is complete." The star says that she believed that she had achieved harmony with herself, but this summer she found out exactly the opposite.
“I had to get out of my comfort zone and be alone. I wanted to prove to myself that I could achieve this, be complete.“
JLo also said that after the breakup she experienced a mix of strong emotions - fear, sadness and despair.
"Being in a relationship doesn't define me as a person. I cannot look for happiness in other people. I have to find happiness within myself."
At this stage, Lopez has no intention of looking for another man in her life and says that she is in a phase where she wants to focus entirely on herself.
