In recent decades, Bulgaria has become a kind of laboratory for social engineering, in which the state is quietly giving way to a network of NGOs. What was presented to us as “development of civil society“, today looks more like a parallel government that openly replaces national interests with foreign ones.
The huge number of NGOs distort the economic environment. Instead of producing added value, thousands of young and educated people are directed to absorbing funds for seminars, strategies and “monitoring“. This intellectual resource is harnessed in causes that often serve corporate interests under the guise of philanthropy. Cheers Soros!
I wonder if we Bulgarians have not entered or are entering the final stage of liquidation. There is nothing waiting for us to reduce by another one or two million. The sponsor is nervous. He wants his cadres to take over the state and end it.
Enough for our complete elimination (which we will call “integration with the new normal“ to be more sonorous) will be to change our status at the highest level. The same as what happened with our national currency, but one level higher.
When education, healthcare and justice policies are written not by legitimate institutions, but in the offices of externally funded foundations, our state becomes a formality. Instead of sovereign decision-making, we see “adapting“ foreign models that often have nothing to do with the Bulgarian reality, not to mention traditions.
The NGO sector often proclaims itself to be the sole voice of the people, without anyone having elected it. Without asking for it, damn it. While politicians still bear some responsibility (sorry) to the voters and are on the merry-go-round every four years, the “professional protesters“ and experts from foundations bear responsibility only to their donors.
At some point, a government office will decide to vote that Bulgaria ceases to be a country. And it will quite legally cease to be a country.
“But the people, and the National Assembly, should have a say, right?“ – some will ask. I just remind you: First – the people here have no say. This has already been proven by all the failed referendum attempts. Second – There are some nameless button pushers living in the National Assembly. Do you expect salvation from them? Out of 240 people, you probably don't know the names of more than ten, maximum twenty. Am I right? The rest, up to 240, simply press the buttons as they are told, and for that they get very good money. Remember the words “as they are told“.
So much for salvation.
From a state that belongs to its people, we will evolve into a state that belongs to investors. This will be explained to us as a higher evolutionary step in the ladder of human development.
Today, our first NGO government has already been proposed, which in our political reality is tantamount to being elected.
And don't ask yourself the question about our political class: “Are you that stupid?“. Because they are not. Stupidity is a great cover for evil, meanness, and purposefulness. Plus, there are no laws against stupidity in the penal code. Is that right?
